Key competencies to be developed:

At the completion of the program the successful participant will be expected to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of the role and practice of nursing internationally;

  • demonstrate the ability to do evidence based practice in nursing;

  • demonstrate the knowledge and skills required of international nursing practice which are consistent with safe and effective nursing care and the need for ongoing review and development of further knowledge, skills and personal development;

  • demonstrate the ability to perform health assessment safely;

  • demonstrate the knowledge and skills to communicate in English Language effectively with peers, clients and families within an international interdisciplinary environment;

  • demonstrate the ability to listen and respond to English Language conversations and instructions;

  • demonstrate the ability to take leadership management and supervision;

  • demonstrate the ability to practice and teach quality assured procedures.
